TRIP DETAILS
This trip departs from our Yurt located at the Hotel Alyeska in Girdwood. This small crag we use is a short walk from the Hotel, hidden in the lush rainforest. There are several routes from 5.6 to 5.12. We have taught hundreds of climbers here in the last 10 years!- May-Sept: 10am and 3pm Daily
- Trips are 3 to 4 hours
- Ages: 3 and up
- Advanced reservations of at least 1 week are recommended
- Guests will be required to fill out a Climbing Application and sign our waiver
- Groups: Call for quote & details.
- 2 person Minimum, unless hired privately.
Full Day Rock: $189/person
Full day guiding may be on the Seward Highway or at Hatcher Pass. Please bring everything listed as well as a trail lunch. 10am-6pm.
Private Rock Climbing Instruction/Guide: $400
For those who wish to have a one on one or less structured learning environment, we offer all day private instruction and guiding. All aspects of climbing are open to exploration. Examples include: anchor building, lead climbing, natural protection placement, technique, mixed climbing, aid climbing and focus techniques. You set the pace.
Learn to Rock Climb at Alyeska Resort- Girdwood, Alaska
At Alyeska Resort in beautiful Girdwood AK, you can learn to Rock Climb at Tram Rock!
This creek side crag is nestled deep in the forest right under the Tram cables. Our 3 hour "top-roped" climbing experience
is just a 10 minute hike from The Alyeska Hotel.
While there are intermediate and advanced routes available at the "Winner Creek Crag" (Tram Rock), this environment is perfect for beginners and fun for the whole family!
Please expect to sign our waiver (below), bring sturdy footwear, water, a snack, your camera and appropriate clothing. No previous climbing experience is necessary, and all gear is provided.
